Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition – China Edition

We are thrilled to announce the Premiere Opera Foundation International Vocal Competition – China Edition, June 2025, offering talented singers across China the opportunity to showcase their artistry and compete for a chance to advance to the Premiere Opera World Finals in New York City in December 2025

This prestigious competition follows a three-round format in China, culminating in a national final where the top singers will be selected to represent China in New York.

Competition Structure

1. Virtual Qualifying Round

  • All singers will submit their applications and performance videos via our online application portal.

  • A panel of esteemed judges will review the submissions and select participants for the China Semifinals.

2. China Semifinals (Live Round)

  • Selected singers will compete live in China before an international jury.

  • Finalists will be chosen from this round to advance to the China Finals.

3. China Finals (Live Round)

  • The best singers from the Semifinals will perform in the China Finals, where the top three winners will be selected.

  • These winners will receive fully funded travel and accommodations to compete in the Premiere Opera World Finals in New York City.

Premiere Opera World Finals – New York City

  • The top three winners from China will join elite vocalists from around the world in the Global Semifinals & Grand Finals in New York City.

  • Singers will perform before a panel of world-renowned opera professionals in a high-profile event.

  • Winners in New York will receive major cash prizes, career-launching opportunities, and worldwide recognition.
